Kintsugi Repair - Terms and Conditions

Estimates
Even when a preliminary estimate is provided based on photos, the final cost may change significantly upon physical inspection if damage not visible in photos or greater-than-expected deterioration is discovered. Please understand that the estimate may increase substantially (including cases where it doubles or more), or repair may be deemed impossible. If you cancel the repair, return shipping costs will be your responsibility.

Payment
Repair payment is accepted through online payment only. Repairs will begin after payment is confirmed. If payment is not received within one week of the payment link sent via email, we will assume you no longer wish to proceed and will return your item via cash on delivery.

Items We Accept
We only repair ceramic and porcelain items. We cannot accept glass or wooden items (including lacquerware). Maximum size is 30cm on the longest side.

Accessories
We cannot store boxes or accessories other than the damaged item itself. If included, they will be returned via cash on delivery before repair begins.

Storage Period for Unrequested Items
If we cannot reach you after your submission, or if you do not request repair, items will be returned via cash on delivery within one month. If unclaimed after one month, items will be disposed of or repurposed at our discretion.

Receiving Completed Repairs
If we cannot reach you one month after notifying you of repair completion, we will ship your item via cash on delivery. If unclaimed, the item will be disposed of or repurposed at our discretion.

Shipping Damage
We cannot assume responsibility for damage or loss caused by shipping carriers during transit.

Design Changes
Please note that we cannot accommodate redesign requests after repair completion.

Liability During Storage
We cannot assume liability for loss, theft, damage, natural disasters, or other force majeure events during storage, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence on our part.

Use of Photos and Information
Photos of your item and survey responses may be posted on our social media and other platforms in a manner that does not identify you personally.
